In recent weeks, the bus passes across the border with the EU have increased by 16-20 hours at selected points. Just imagine that the time spent on the road increases almost per day, which in general casts doubt on the expediency of this transportation. Do you think by bicycle would be faster instead of a bus?
We want to find out the reasons and help in solving this problem.
Passengers and carriers have huge inconveniences and potentially have losses. During waiting at the boarding stop with the engine off, work air conditioners aren’t worked in buses, doors and windows are closed. Throughout this time, passengers don’t have access to drinking water and food, the opportunity to receive timely medical assistance and even use the toilet! We see in this a direct violation of human rights and non-observance of ethical norms; moreover, even the "European Convention for the Protection of Animals in International Transport" provides for a more humane attitude to animals and obliges them to provide them with water / food and everything necessary. In addition, animals are forbidden to be transported in unventilated vehicles without access to fresh air, while people are hostage of bad traffic at the boarding desk and are waiting for their turn in much worse conditions.
We want to fight with this by enlisting the support of European and Ukrainian media, the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine, Ukrainian embassies in the Czech Republic and Poland, as well as your help.
INFOBUS asks you to help us and share your observations. Please tell us how you have passed border and customs control at the Ukrainian and Polish border.
