A new way to notify the Office of Health on arrival in the Czech Republic is before the moment of entry

line

1. All persons (including Czech citizens), except for certain categories (international transport workers, EU citizens and foreigners with permanent or long-term residence in the EU, who transit through the Czech Republic within 12 hours, diplomats and officials of international organizations accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for a period of stay in the territory of up to 14 days and children under 5 years old) who have been for more than 12 hours in the last 14 days in the territory of countries that are not included in the list of countries with a low risk of spreading COVID-19 are required to:

  • before entering the territory of the Czech Republic, inform the relevant Regional Health Office by filling out the electronic arrival form -  https://plf.uzis.cz/;
  • submit a notification at the border or when checking stay;
  • and immediately (but no later than within 5 days from the date of entry into the Czech Republic) undergo a PCR test at your own expense in the territory of the Czech Republic.

Thus, according to the new rules, arrival at the territory is not announced until the very fact, but in advance and consists in filling out an electronic form through the website with the subsequent provision of a notification at the border / at the control of stay.

2. Recognition of PCR tests from other EU member states

EU citizens and third-country nationals with an approved long-term or permanent residence permit in an EU Member State can now take a PCR test in another EU Member State at their own expense prior to their arrival in the Czech Republic. This can replace the obligation to undergo a PCR test upon arrival in the Czech Republic. The test must not be valid for more than 72 hours when presented in the Czech Republic.

3. Prohibition of free movement

A ban on the free movement of persons who have been for more than 12 hours in the last 14 days in the territory of states not included in the list of countries with a low risk of spreading COVID-19, throughout the Czech Republic, with the exception of routes clearly specified in paragraph 2. Protective measures , according to the new rules, must be observed either during the entire period of stay in the territory, or during the continuation of quarantine measures, or for at least 10 days from the date of entry into the territory of the Czech Republic.
