We contacted the carrier to clarify whether the trip took place and if there were any schedule changes. The carrier confirmed that the bus departed as scheduled but agreed to a refund.

Thank you very much for your excellent service. It was unfortunate that I was lied to. Unfortunately I didn't have a connection on my mobile to receive the driver's calls. I wonder if it is possible to have a sign posted at that bus station? It was very confusing, especially as a foreigner only with English skills.
