SINDBAD

We hadn’t been on a long distance bus in any country for about 50 years so we are not used to how things work these days. Overall we were pleasantly surprised. It was difficult to sleep as the seats are quite close and don’t recline much. It would have been nice on a bus going to London to have brief announcements in English. The buses are ok but could be more luxurious. It would be good to have soap, paper towels and toilet paper in the toilet throughout the journey.

The bus arrived on time. They called to make sure I would be there. I came straight almost to the departure. There were stops to rest. You can buy drinks. In general, prices for drinks are affordable.

Da ist so wenig Platz, dass man seine Beine kaum bewegen kann.

Das war eine Zumutung.

Got picked up in 2 of the new buses which are really nice, very clean, fully equiped and the staff very attentionate. There was a slight issue with my ticket when changing bus at Lille (final dest Brussels), but the staff called and sorted it out and I had a comfortable journey.
