Conditions for returning tickets for different types of transport:


Returning a ticket on the INFOBUS website is easy and simple - no applications and no waiting up to 30 days! You can return the ticket yourself in your personal account by pressing one button. The funds will be credited as soon as possible (usually from 15 minutes to 5 business days).


Where and how can I return tickets?

Bus:


Each carrier has its own ticket refund policy. On the INFOBUS website, they are spelled out in the description of each flight, to read them, you need to click the "Flight details" button in the lower right corner:

Railways:


The conditions for returning railway tickets differ between Ukrainian and European carriers. 

Tickets from the Ukrzaliznytsia carrier can be returned at the ticket office (if you paid in cash) or on the carrier's website (if you paid by credit card).

Train tickets of European countries can be returned independently (by following the link in your e-mail or in your personal account) or by contacting INFOBUS support service.

The conditions for returning railway tickets are similar to those of bus carriers:

  • 15 minutes before departure (for some flights, most often long-distance 0-6 hours) - 100% retention rate; More than 15 minutes before departure (for some flights, most often long-distance more than 6 hours before departure) - full refund without retention rates (carrier: RegioJet).
  • Less than 7 hours before departure: the ticket is non-refundable (carrier: Czech Railways).
  • 15 minutes before departure - 100% retention rate; More than 15 minutes before departure - 30 CZK retention rate (carrier: Leo Express).

Refund of Včasná jízdenka Evropa (VJE) tickets: 

Včasná jízdenka Evropa is a special offer of the Czech railway company České dragy (ČD) called "timely ticket from Europe to Ukraine" (Včasná jízdenka Evropa na Ukrajinu). It means buying a ticket in advance, for example, from Prague or any other Czech station to Chop or Mukachevo:

  • To/from Ukraine = no refunds/changes are possible, refunds are only for rebooking a bed.
  • To/from Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Denmark, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia = until 23:59 the day before departure: 3 EUR retention rate, on the day of departure = 100%;
  • Refunds for sleeping places = until 23:59 of the day before the day of departure, the retention rate is 10%, but not less than 1 EUR, on the day of departure = 50%, but not less than 3 EUR;
  • Refunds for reserving a specific seat = 0 - 15 minutes before departure = 100% retention rate, from 15 minutes before departure = full refund.

Please note that each carrier and each flight is unique, so the ticket refund process may differ. Even flights with the same carrier may have different refund conditions.


Airplane:


Different airline carriers have different ticket refund policies.  

The cheapest economy class ticket with a minimum set of services is most often non-refundable. Tickets with a higher status or more expensive fare may be refundable, but the amount of compensation is set by the airline.

If you are a regular customer of one of the airlines, you are offered a number of advantages - one of them is making changes to an already paid ticket (for example, a refund or change of departure date).

With an economy class ticket, in some cases, it is possible to return the airport tax, the amount of which is set by the airline.

Here are some tips from INFOBUS on how to return an airline ticket: 

  • The closer the departure date is, the more difficult it is to return the ticket and the less money you will be able to get back. Therefore, in case of force majeure, try to arrange a refund as soon as possible.
